The transition year class of Presentation Secondary School and St. Patrick’s secondary schools were delighted to have three teams progress to the regional finals of The Bank of Ireland’s Junk Kouture competition which were held on the 10th of March in the University Concert Hall, Limerick. Making it through to this round was no mean feat as Presentation were one of only a handful of schools to have thee dress on the catwalk at the regional finals. The contestants were Team Snake; Siofra O’ Connor, Mary Healy and Faye Conway who made their dress from recycled fake nails and tinfoil. Team Pick a Puzzle; Ellie Daly Aoife O’ Sullivan and Aine Barry who made their dress from plastic and jigsaw pieces and Team Queen of the Bed Bugs; Heather Jones Moya Sheehan and Rosie Scanlan who made their dress from an old mattress. All girls worked incredibly hard to reach this final putting in extra hours after school and on the weekend and they did themselves and the school very proud on the catwalk!
