In 2013, Presentation Secondary School embarked on a Joint Transition Year Programme with our Educational Partners in St. Patricks Secondary School.
It is intended that this unique Joint Transition Year Programme will enhance and develop the intellectual, emotional, spiritual, moral, physical, social, vocational and civic characteristics of the students involved. The programme should challenge all students, encouraging autonomy in learning, fostering interpersonal skills, and creative thinking. The programme, therefore, aims to provide young people with the skills and support necessary to develop their own individual talents, aptitudes and abilities with regard to future educational and/or vocational preparation.

Aspects of the following subjects are included: Gaeilge, English, French, Spanish, Information Technology, Physical Education.
Students get to sample Science, History, Geography, Design & Communication Graphics, Engineering, Art, Business & Enterprise and Culinary Skills
Young Social Innovators, Young Entrepreneurs Programme, Young Scientist Competition, Life Skills , Work Experience, Community Placements, Gaisce-The President’s Award, 121 Digital
The activities available may vary depending on the interests of the Transition Year Group and opportunities that arise during the year. Typical activities include: Driver Education Course, First Aid Course, Visiting speakers, Teambuilding activities, Wheelchair Basketball, F1 in Schools Competition, Mock Interviews and a variety of courses.
