Orienteering at Pres
3x took part in orienteering today during PE. Orienteering is a fantastic cross curricular activity, in which fitness levels, directional skills, map reading and teamwork are all required. Today, our girls had to follow a map in which there were 20 control points. At each station, every team had to pick up a letter. After all 20 letters were collected, 1 from each control point, teams were tasked with creating a phrase of words from the letters collected. This added to the cross curricular nature of the activity, for which English was now to the fore. Each team did brilliantly and we look forward to more classes participating in orienteering in the coming weeks.
