Stand Up Awareness Week: November 3rd – 7th
Next week, our school will be taking part in Stand Up Awareness Week, a national initiative that celebrates inclusion and raises awareness about the experiences of LGBTQ+ young people.
Stand Up Week is all about creating a safe, supportive, and respectful school community where everyone feels seen and valued. It’s a time to stand together against bullying and to show our pride in diversity.
Here’s what’s happening throughout the week:
Monday: We’ll be showing an episode of Heartstopper during Chill Club at lunchtime in room A3— come along and enjoy!
Wednesday, November 5th: Our annual Colours Day will take place with fun lunchtime activities in Room A3. Come join us and help spread awareness!
All Week: Visit our Colours Library in Room A3, where you’re welcome to borrow books that explore LGBTQ+ stories and themes — perfect for reading at your leisure.
SPHE Classes: Students will be learning more about LGBTQ+ awareness and inclusion throughout the week.
Let’s all stand up, show our colours, and make our school a welcoming place for everyone! ️
