Congratulations to Leaving Certificate student and Student Council member, Grace McGovern, who was presented with an individual award at the Garda Youth Achievement Awards held in the Rose Hotel, Tralee, on Friday, 18th September.
Grace was recognised for her outstanding positive contribution to her community through her commitment to volunteering and supporting others. Her contributions include volunteering every Sunday at the Junior Parkrun in Tralee, promoting online safety through the Schools Webwise Panel, and volunteering to participate and help on the June Lourdes Pilgrimage with the Diocese of Kerry.
It is wonderful to see Grace’s dedication and willingness to give her time freely and generously being recognised in this way. She is a capable, responsible and compassionate young person who consistently demonstrates a strong commitment to helping others and contributing positively to her community.
Receiving the award in front of her very proud family made the occasion all the more special and it was certainly an achievement worth celebrating.
