Today, our 3rd, 5th and 6th Year Art students visited Inward and Outward, an exhibition by painter Agnes Boes, at the Ivy Leaf in Castleisland. The visit gave students an opportunity to experience original artwork up close, explore the artist’s use of colour, composition and technique, and gain inspiration for their own artistic practice. Agnes also spoke to the students about her work, her creative process and the ideas behind her paintings, offering them a fantastic insight into the life and practice of a working artist. It was a valuable and inspiring experience, helping students deepen their appreciation and understanding of contemporary art.
