It all started with a pen pal project between our TY French class and their equivalent in Corsica last year. And this week we were delighted to welcome 12 students and their teachers to Pres Castleisland from their school on the island of Corsica. Kicking off with a talk on products on local farms (thanks to Shane McAuliffe from Truly Irish). Then visiting some of our local sites in Killarney, where despite the rain the students enjoyed discovering a new culture and exchanging in both English and French. They were then introduced to the rudiments of Gaelic football, expertly coached by Ms Finnegan and welcomed and assisted by the Junior football players. A busy week so far.. and more to come
