Today, our First Year footballers finished the season on a tremendous high securing an impressive win over Tarbert Comprehensive on our home pitch, Castleisland Desmonds. A strong team performance from players 1 through to 15 ensured the result was never in doubt with the team leading throughout. Laura McShane, Caitlin Griffin and Aimee O’Connor were stand-out performances in a game that required razor sharp reading of the ball due to a very strong wind. Captain and goalscorer Edel O’Donoghue accepted the shield on behalf of the team. Well done to all and we look forward to your addition to the junior panel next year. Thank you to Ms. Nagle for her support and dedication to football all through this season.
