Our Junior and Senior football teams have experienced a very busy ten days with lots of sport and success to be had. Last Wednesday, Rockchapel was the location for the senior team’s win over Boherbue Comprehensive. An excellent and committed team performance in tough weather conditions proved enough to secure a 5-12 to 2-3 victory, with Chloe McCarthy excelling in goal and Orlaith O’Connor superb in defence. Monday featured a loss to a tenacious Tarbert team despite an impressive 8 point tally by Presentation’s Julia Curtin. However, we look forward to a play-off in the coming weeks. Today, our U16s played the final game in the Munster Championship, securing a well deserved 5-12 to 3-5 win over Colaiste Treasa Kanturk. Seana Wilkinson, Hazel Burke and Mairead Walsh were stand-out performances in an all-round great display from the team.
