Our First Year students visited Kerry County Museum today, immersing themselves in the vivid experiences of life in the medieval town of Tralee. The girls stepped back in time, exploring various aspects of medieval life, including clothing, food and the bustling atmosphere of shops from centuries past. They even had the opportunity to be put in stocks, learning first-hand about the harsh punishments that were a common part of crime and justice in times gone by.
The day continued with a visit to the historical museum, where the students engaged in an interactive quiz. Their knowledge was tested on key historical figures such as Tom Crean, Roger Casement and Daniel O Connell. They also took part in an archaeological dig, offering a hands-on experience that brought history to life.
