From Past Pupil to Inspiration

May 6, 2026

At last week’s 5th year assembly, past pupil and Kerry Rose Laura Daly delivered a deeply honest and inspirational speech that resonated with everyone present. She reflected on her time in Pres, speaking openly about the ups and downs of being a teenager and the challenges she faced along the way. Laura shared how she found her outlet in dance, which grounded her and helped her through difficult times, and how she never gave up on her dream. She also emphasised the importance of getting involved in extracurricular activities, encouraging students to make the most of every opportunity. The students were able to freely ask her questions, and Laura created a relaxed and engaging atmosphere. She also highlighted the importance of friendships she made, which supported her and shaped her journey, leaving a lasting impression on all who listened.
