Webwise Youth Panel

Every year Webwise recruit proactive teenagers from all over Ireland to be a part of their Safer Internet campaign. We are delighted that our school has been involved with webwise for some years. Students attend online and in-person training on internet safety and pass their learning on to their peers. This year two TY students, Saoirse Collins and Gracie Mills, have been selected to be part of the Webwise Youth Panel. The panel is made up of 35 students nationally, who want to stand up and speak out about online safety issues. These views are heard at a national and European level, so that young people can have a real say on the issues that affect them.

It is a great opportunity for our students to represent their peers on a national level and develop their personal skills such as communication, teamwork and leadership skills.

They will be involved in training young people from other schools all over Ireland to run Safer Internet Day in their schools in February 2026.
