Today, First Year students in 1Y took part in the first lesson of an introductory module of women’s rugby. We, in Castleisland and surrounding areas, are fortunate to live in an area abundant in rugby heritage and count none other than the current Ireland Women’s Rugby captain Ciara Griffin as a past student. We look forward to extending the initiative across the school in the coming months. All students in Junior and Senior Cycle interested in playing rugby this academic year please attend a meeting with Ms. O’Connor on Wednesday at 11:00 in Presentation Hall. We look forward to finding the next Irish Women’s Rugby Captain!
