In case you missed the news!…..Safer Internet Day took place yesterday and our SID ambassadors Megan and Doireann supported by the TY Digital Committee organised and ran a programme of events that were second to none. Sergeant Tim O Keeffe and Garda Aidan O Mahoney spoke to TY and 5th year students about the issues they face online. Doireann and Megan presented workshops to the 1st and 2nd years including a walking debate, Kahoot quiz and games like: Guess the password, Would you post this if your Granny could see it. One of the most popular activities was an adaptation of the TV programme ‘All star Mr, and Mrs.’ where a pair of students were asked questions about their online behaviour. Doireann and Megan were also asked to represent Webwise on Talkabout with Deirdre Walsh yesterday. To finish off a busy day, after school Megan and Doireann were joined by our Youth Panelists Fiona and Joanna to present to the staff at a staff meeting about the issues that affect them online.
