Student Enterprise County Final

March 14, 2025

A big congratulations to the 2 first year groups that participated in the Student Enterprise Kerry Final in the MTU today. The represented themselves and our school incredibly well.

PocketPal, made up of Loren Caldwell, Ciara O’Donoghue, Eva Burke, Caoimhe Fleming and Ava Hickey, have set up a business to make detachable pockets for the back of mobile phones, ideal for students to store their coins, cards, earbuds, jewellery and medication. The students generated lots of interest and sales in school and made great presentations to the judges. The team came Second Place in the County Final, a wonderful achievement and well done to them.

Miles Bike Solutions, made up of Gwen O’Sullivan and Ellen Casey, have set up a business to make a robust and simple to use foldable bike stand. The girls went all out on their marketing stand display, with high viz jackets, road markings and signs, and samples of different terrain on which the bike could be used. Of the 20 businesses participating in the final today, the team won the overall award for Best Display.

Congratulations to both groups on their fantastic efforts on enterprise over the last few months. Their hardwork paid off with 2 great awards and shows what is possible with commitment and dedication.
