Today was the day for the Student Enterprise School Final – giving our 1st year students the chance to showcase the new business ideas that they have been working on over the past number of months. And, wow, they did not disappoint!
The girls have demonstrated excellent enterprise and business skills in their projects, and fantastic new inventions were on display in the hall today. Well done to all for their hard work, and check out the highlights video on TikTok.
The Winners of the School Final were Saoirse Daly, Evelyn McElligott and Katelyn Brosnan for their invention “Fog Off”, a terrific innovation to prevent the fogging up of glasses while wearing a face mask. Second place went to Kirsten O’Connor, Ellie Curtin, Laura McShane, Brid Curtin and Cáit Daly for their invention of the “Roley Poley”, an outdoor weatherproof bench that can be used in all seasons. Head Bangerz, made up of Emily Philpott, Maeve Hurley, Ava Brosnan, Ellie Mitchell and Erin Mitchell took home the prize for Best Stand. And finally, we were delighted to give the award for Most Enthusiastic Student to Aisha Pabon for her efforts in raising awareness of student posture in the classroom.
Congratulations to everyone involved, and we wish the team of Fog Off and Roley Poley all the best as they go on to compete in the Kerry County Final in March.
