A big shout out to all the first, second and transition year students who took part in the Student Enterprise school final today. The innovative ideas and creative displays on show demonstrate the entrepreneurial mindset among our students. All teams were worthy winners, and it was a difficult task to narrow the teams down to two in each category to proceed to the County final.
In the Junior Category, the school winner was Fold ‘Em Goals (Millie Hughes, Molly Moran & Frankie Maguire) and the runner-up was Pen Locket (Muireann Hickey, Leah Griffin, Neil Hartnett & Ella Greaney).
In the Senior Category, the school winner was Canine Comfort (Colene O’Callaghan, Jasmine O’Sullivan, Bláithín McBride, Emily Walsh and Amber Foley). The runner-up was Perfect Planters (Charlie O’Keeffe, Laura Ward, Rachel Griffin & Áine Broderick).
These teams will compete against other schools in the Kerry Final in the MTU in Tralee on 21 March. Joining them will be the Intermediate group of Modern Posture (Aisha Pabon, Grace McGovern, Aoibhinn Walsh & Niamh O’Donnell).
Individual awards were made today to Aibhlinn Matthews, Nikola Wroblewska, Kotryna Krupaviciute and Sarah Collins in respect of their special efforts.
