Today, Transition Year students completed a four hour First Aid workshop with Mrs. Nagle of The Order of Malta. The workshop included training on all aspects of basic first aid including epilepsy, wound management, injuries and CPR. Thank you to Mrs. Nagle for sharing her immense expertise with the class. Thank you to The Irish Heart Foundation for providing the school with a full set of CPR practice mannequins. This is the third year the mannequins have been utilised by students in Presentation Castleisland and they have proved a wonderful resource for CPR practice. The school have purchased a new defibrillator. It is located in building A located next to the main school office. It is important that students, staff and members of the local community are aware of this location.
