Today, Transition Year students took part in an engaging Forensic Science workshop focused on the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. Using this historical case study, students explored how forensic evidence is gathered, analysed and interpreted. The workshop examined key elements such as ballistics, timelines, eyewitness testimony and the challenges faced by investigators when evidence is incomplete or disputed. Students were encouraged to think critically, question sources and understand how forensic science plays a vital role in reconstructing events and supporting investigations. The session proved both thought-provoking and informative, giving students a real insight into forensic science in practice.
