Our Transition Year group attended the Ger Carey Comedy Show in Siamsa Tíre, Tralee, on Monday where they joined several other TY groups from schools across the region for a morning of laughter, energy and quick-fire humour. Ger Carey’s unique style – observational, fast-paced and sharply focused on teenage life – had the students fully engaged from the moment he stepped on stage.
The show explored the everyday world of teenagers with brilliant accuracy, touching on school life, friendships, social media, awkward interactions, and the unwritten rules of being a teenager.
Overall, the trip to Siamsa Tíre was a great success, giving our TY students a memorable shared experience and a well-deserved morning of fun and entertainment. If the laughter that echoed through the theatre is anything to go by, Ger Carey’s show will remain a TY highlight for 2024/25.
