Our new Webwise youth panelists for 22/23 Megan Dennehy and Doireann O Sullivan travelled to Dublin recently for the first in-person meeting of the Webwise youth panel, since Covid. Every year Webwise recruit proactive teenagers from all over Ireland to be a part of their Webwise Youth Panel. The panel is made up of 35 students, who want to stand up and speak out about online safety issues through the Youth Panel. These views are heard at a national and European level, so that young people can have a real say on the issues that affect them. For a number of years now Presentation Castleisland has had two representatives on this panel to represent the views of local young people and share expertise in the school community.
Recently, our previous panelists Joanna Moynihan and Fiona Brosnan reluctantly decided to step back from their roles as Youth panelists after two very successful years to concentrate on their studies.
