Our TYs battled it out today in an All Ireland Quiz for Think Languages Week. The Quiz is an annual event and the competition is tough with schools participating from all over the country. Although our teams remained on the leader board for some time, the glory went to Wexford this afternoon. The students enjoyed the competitive atmosphere of the event and came away with some fun facts from languages, alphabets and cultures across the 5 continents. Did you know …the Chinese eat apples on Christmas Eve….it is bad luck to wear purple in Brazil… and a Japanese person would be offended if you left your chopsticks in a vertical position? A second in-house Quiz followed with the winners receiving the colourful Think Languages T-shirts. Well done to all!
