Transition Year students from Presentation and St. Patrick’s rolled up their sleeves this week to take part in a beach clean-up along the beautiful Kerry coastline. Armed with gloves, bags, and plenty of enthusiasm, the students spent the afternoon collecting litter and helping to protect the local environment.
The initiative, part of the school’s environmental awareness programme, aimed to highlight the importance of caring for our oceans and preserving Ireland’s natural beauty. Students worked together to remove plastic bottles, cans, wrappers, and other debris that can harm marine life and spoil our scenic beaches.
Their hard work paid off — by the end of the afternoon, several large bags of rubbish had been collected, leaving the beach looking cleaner and safer for both wildlife and visitors.
Well done to all the students involved for their teamwork, community spirit, and commitment to protecting our environment. Your efforts make a real difference — Kerry’s beaches are shining brighter thanks to you!
