World Book Day Success – Our Presentation Book Dating Bonanza!

March 6, 2026

We’re delighted to share that our World Book Day celebrations yesterday were a fantastic success. For the first time ever, we hosted our Book Dating Bonanza with our 1st- and 2nd‑year students, and we were thrilled to welcome the 5th- and 6th‑class pupils from Presentation Primary School to join in the fun.

The event gave students the chance to “speed‑date” a variety of books, discovering new genres, authors, and stories they may never have picked up otherwise. By moving from book to book, they learned to trust their curiosity, explore different types of reading, and talk with one another about what makes a book engaging.

Why the event mattered

• It built confidence in choosing books independently
• It encouraged meaningful conversations about reading
• It allowed younger and older students to connect through a shared love of stories
• It helped students realise that reading can be fun, social, and full of discovery

Students left the event buzzing with recommendations, new interests, and a better sense of what kinds of books truly excite them. We’re so proud of everyone who took part and made our very first Book Dating Bonanza such an enjoyable experience.

Here’s to many more reading adventures ahead!
