Tadgh Healy from KWD recently visited our school to speak to the Transition Year class on the importance of proper and careful recycling practices. KWD, a Killarney based waste disposal company, are promoting the Kerry County Clean-Up which will take place on Saturday, April 11th. We are all encouraged to become involved by signing up to the initiative via their website. All litter collected on April 11th by volunteers will be collected free of charge by KWD. Our TY students have participated in two litter picking events this year, one which included a beach clean-up on Banna Beach in November. You will see them active tomorrow morning also in our own town of Castleisland.
