On Wednesday, Transition Year students attended a resilience and character development workshop with the Dublin based SOAR Foundation. SOAR is a collective movement which believes that there is greatness within all young people. Facilitators Martin and Sorcha visited Presentation Castleisland. The workshop aims to empower young people to thrive, believe in themselves and fulfill their true potential within a safe and supportive environment. The workshop took place in Presentation Hall which facilitates such workshops in a socially distanced manner. Inspired Transition Year students may now choose to move forward with SOAR and complete the aptly named ‘Hustle’ programme. This is a 6 month course that builds leadership skills, emotional and mental resilience and positive wellbeing. It is free of charge and we invite interested Transition Year students to put their name forward for further details.
