Today is Day 4 of Science Week, students and staff are having a great week so far.
1st year students took a trip to Crag Cave, an amazing cave formation just on our doorstep. Students explored the cave and learned about its formation, along with how the cave can provide evidence of climate change.
Our riddle competition continued today, congratulations to Katie Cotter who was today’s winner. Can you figure out the answers to the riddles attached?
2nd year students recalled their acid and bases knowledge by making acidic bath-bombs and then reacting them with water.
5th year biology students demonstrated osmosis using gummy bears today. 5th years made a TikTok video of their experiment on @pres_castleisland.
We look forward to concluding our Science Week tomorrow with another day full of activities.
