After last year’s phenomenal response, Presentation Castleisland have teamed up again this year with our neighbours The St. Vincent de Paul society to support their Christmas hamper appeal 2021. This year demand will be higher than ever for their Christmas food hampers because of rising food and other domestic costs as well as the affect of the pandemic.
While all non-perishable food will be accepted, they have made a special request to us for the following items to brighten up someone’s Christmas:
Tubs of chocolates
Tins or packets of biscuits
Soft drinks
Multipacks/share packs of chocolate or sweets
Christmas themed socking fillers (e.g little chocolate santas, snowmen etc)
Selection Boxes
The students council will run the campaign and coordinate the collection everyday next week until Friday 3rd December.
Please think of adding an extra item or two to your shopping list this week for the people in our society who could do with a little extra help this year.
