Computer Science for Leaving Certificate is a subject that gives students a general understanding of how computers work as well as an insight into programming, artificial intelligence and website design to name a few. This week in 5th year students learned about computer systems and dismantled one so that they could investigate all the individual parts. Putting them back together could prove more problematic! They are also currently building computers from parts given a virtual budget and a specific computer type i.e. a family PC or a gaming computer.
