Following on from our Siege of Ennis dancing success for St Patrick’s Day, to celebrate “le mois de la Francophonie” (International French-speaking month), our visiting students from Brittany, France, taught our 1st years some Breton dances today. Our teachers were Mathilde and Yuna who very patiently went through the steps with us in French. The students thoroughly enjoyed the fun dances while practising counting the steps through French. The celtic music sounded very familiar to us as we learnt the steps of the Circle dance and the Dance of the bear ! Learning languages is also about such fun and interesting cultural exchanges!
