Dear Parent/Guardian,
Students of Home Economics in Junior Cycle explored the concept of sustainability this term. Second year students designed posters and blogs. First year students created Christmas tree textile decorations using left over materials. A sample of the work can be seen in the photos.
Practical cookery was an integral part of home economics from September to Christmas. Ingredients were provided by the school in practical classes for students in First, Second and Fifth year. Students in these Home Economics classes are requested to pay 5 euro through the school App towards the cost of these ingredients.
The payment can be found in the ‘Shop’ section of the app, under the name ‘Home Economics Ingredients’.
