Today, Transition Year students hiked from Muckross House to Torc Waterfall before completing the Torc Mountain climb in Killarney National Park. Lunch took place at Torc’s highest point however it was very much a tale of two halves with fantastic weather conditions present during the climb however a cloud covered summit spoiled the wonderful view. The group covered in excess of 10 miles and are now well placed to begin training for their GAISCE hike later in the year. Undoubtedly, the wildlife and fantastic views present in Killarney National Park are a wonderful asset to have in our home county.
