With French week looming, our 2nd and 3rd year students experienced first hand the world of French cinema today. The 25th Kerry International film festival screened La Petite Bande (The Little Gang) in Killarney and students enjoyed the antics of the onscreen characters in their battle to save their local river from pollution. Described as a mix between the Goonies and Home Alone, this sensational French cinematic experience engaged its viewers with a fun scenario, amazing scenery and excellent young actors. All the while exposing them to the new genre of French cinema which will stand to them in their language learning going forward. Students gave the film a 10/10 and would definitely watch it again!!
