This week, we are delighted to welcome back Mairéad Moriarty from Roola to our school. Mairead, has created unique and impactful workshops that focus specifically on our school wellbeing needs. www.roola.net She will meet with all students for a two hour workshop. These workshops will take place this Thursday and Friday, December 12th and 13th. Details of the workshops are mentioned below. We ask all parents to please pay five euro on the school app for your daughter to attend one of these very beneficial workshops.

“Stop Stressing/Start Thriving” is the No.1 Wellbeing Workshop for 6th Year students in Ireland. A combination of practical wellbeing coaching, guided meditation and self-care. I empower students’ confidence around decision making ensuring a better outcome both personally and academically.

“Big Step Forward” (1st Year) the move from primary school to secondary can be a big adjustment. This interactive workshop teaches students how to make space for each other, be kind and understanding, and start to explore the steps they can take toward positive personal significance. You are unique, celebrate it. It’s time to shine.

“Friendship at the Movies” (2nd-5th Year) How we connect with ourselves and others is fundamental to our wellbeing. The stresses and anxiety caused by misunderstandings and friendship break-ups can negatively impact our lives. Using popular movies as a reference point, this interactive and fun workshop teaches students how to be a good friend not just to others but to themselves. We will focus on self care, compassion, positive leadership, self-esteem and kindness. When we make ourselves better, we improve our world.

We hope students enjoy these workshops and find them beneficial.
