Students and staff at Pres Castleisland marked National Tree Week with a range of activities highlighting the importance of trees and biodiversity. They raised awareness about the many benefits that trees provide, from improving air quality to suporting wildlife and combating climate change. A photography competition encouraged students to capture the beauty of trees in their surroundings which also showcased their creativity and appreciation of nature. To finish off the week, the Transition Year students planted a Magnolia tree on the school grounds, ensuring that future generations will continue to enjoy the benefit of trees.
