Today, our school community was delighted to celebrate Presentation Day, a day in honour of the Presentation Sisters and Nano Nagle. Second year students visited the Sisters in the Convent, presenting a bouquet of flowers, a large card and letter from the Student Council (read by Lucy McKenna and Síleoonagh Mansfield). In the splendid November sunshine, the Sisters were delighted to listen to a rendition of One Step Beyond from the students, with plenty of smiles all round.
A school prayer service followed this afternoon, to remember the work, dedication and commitment of the Presentation Sisters in establishing our school community. It was a moment for everyone to reflect on the inspiration of Nano Nagle and her vocation to practicing ‘Not words but deeds’. The celebration concluded with a school wide Kahoot quiz on Nano Nagle and the Presentation Sisters, bringing great excitement, cheer and competition to teachers and students alike. Congratulations to the top 3 in the quiz, Fiona Brosnan, Megan Dennehy and Ailbhe Fleming.
