To celebrate Safer Internet day tomorrow our Safer Internet Day Ambassadors Doireann and Megan have been working very hard training with Webwise since November. Over the last few weeks they have been putting their ideas into action with the help of the TY Digital Committee. Today they launched a poster competition which will run for the week to increase awareness of important internet safety issues. Tomorrow they will host Sergeant Tim O Keeffe from Tralee Garda Station who will speak to 5th year and TY students about the dangers lurking online and how they can best avoid getting into online difficulty. Megan and Doireann will present workshops and activities for students about online safety. They will also address staff along with Fiona and Joanna (Webwise youth panelists) to inform them about their work and advise them on online safety. Parents will receive tips and links to online information sessions provided by Webwise throughout the week.
