TYs Tackle Torc for GAISCE Award!

April 8, 2022

Transition Year students returned home today from their GAISCE two-day overnight trip to Killarney. Our energetic ‘super troopers’ continued what was a very eventful week for Transition after Wednesday nights sold-out Mamma Mia show. The group tackled Torc Waterfall, Torc Mountain and Dinis completing in excess of 30km over the two days. Students were also challenged to complete a group cooking task which required skill and camaraderie. Thank you to Ms. Nagle for creating a Mamma Mia themed sweet shop complete with popcorn to add to the wonderful atmosphere created by the movie projector in the main dining hall. It certainly was a night to remember for the 25 students that experienced all that a renovated church hostel accommodation has to offer. Thank you to Ms. Dooley for providing Easter eggs prizes for the winning talent show group. Students hosted their very own mini show in Killarney last night. Lots of fun was had of which a selection of photographs are attached. It is always worth it to ‘take a chance’ on good weather in Killarney!
