Here at Pres Castleisland, 1st years get to try out French and Spanish in our language taster modules. Today the 1X class had their last day of the taster and so to celebrate before the exams we had a little party to taste some of the treats from France and other French speaking countries. Bien sûr.. we had the iconic baguette and croissants as well as the délicieux pain au chocolat! Belgium was represented with waffles with and without chocolate coating and to balance the sweetness students tested some Gruyère cheese from Switzerland. Surprisingly enough, the overall favourite was charcuterie (cured meats) with baguette! We have had a lot of fun over the past few weeks. Best of luck in exams girls. Bonne chance!
