Spanish in Presentation Castleisland

Spanish is taught by Ms.Dairo. Spain is renowned for its fun and fiestas and we incorporate this into our Spanish classes. Our students learn Spanish through a variety of fun activities like Bingo, Spanish songs, games and presentations.
Learning about the culture of Spain and Hispanic countries is a major part of our curriculum. Our students enjoy researching the many fiestas and customs associated with Spanish speaking countries.
Our students visit a tapas restaurant and enjoy delicious tapas while speaking español.
We have strong ties with a school near Madrid and have visited there on cultural exchanges. This year our transition year students are taking part in an “etwinning” project with our Spanish partners and schools in France, Italy and the USA.
Speaking both Spanish and English enables you to communicate in two of the three most widely spoken languages in the world, opening the door to a world of travel, adventure, education and careers. Many of our students go on to continue their study of Spanish in university.
