We were delighted to welcome Education minister Norma Foley to Presentation yesterday. She was welcomed by the trad group, students council and a guard of honour made up of first year students at the end of their first week in the school. Minister Foley addressed the assembled guests and students and spoke about the excellent reputation Presentation Castleisland has and how highly the school is regarded in the community. She also commented on the excellence in education and care that is delivered in Presentation. Members of the students council Emily Walsh, Deirdre Moynihan and Caoimhe Scanlon presented gifts on behalf of the school community.
The Leaving Certificate students of 2021 were commended by Minister Foley and Principal Katherina Broderick for the resilience and leadership they showed throughout the last eighteen months and congratulated on their excellent results.
