Today, Transition Year got off to a flying start with a visit to Killarney’s National Park and Gap of Dunloe. The excursion featured a traditional boat trip from Ross Castle to Lord Brandon’s Cottage taking in Inisfallen Island, before continuing onto Killarney’s Black Valley and Gap of Dunloe. The thirty strong Transition Year class were treated to a rare sighting of Killarney’s newest additions – the newly released white tailed sea eagles. Well done to all for completing this 11km hike with such energy and enthusiasm!
