Tomorrow’s theme for Climate Action Week will be ‘Waste Wednesday’, where the importance of reducing, reusing and recycling will be highlighted. To commemorate the day, Transition Year students have organised a ‘Swap Shop’ for first, second and transition year students. Students from these year groups are asked to bring in any clothes or books they are otherwise throwing out or not putting to use, and they can be donated to the Swap Shop. Those who bring in items for the shop will be issued an entry ticket to enter the shop when all the items are collected, and they are free to take some of the donated items home. Items which are not taken from the Swap Shop will be donated to a local charity shop as well as the school’s clothing recycle bin.
